Germany’s THIN ICE is a hardcore band hailing from Schweinfurt, Germany, that is known for their direct, aggressive style characterized by tight riffs, driving rhythms, and no-frills lyrics. Established in 2019, the band has already made waves with their debut EP, “Keep It Alive,” released in 2021, and their album “A Matter Of Time,” which dropped in 2024 and was supported by performances across Europe and Indonesia. THIN ICE is set to unleash their upcoming EP, titled “Happiness Ain’t Meant For All,” on May 8th, featuring five tracks inspired by the sounds of bands like Terror, Madball, and Incendiary.

The band’s latest release and title track, “Happiness Ain’t Meant For All,” sets the tone for what to expect from the EP. This single kicks off with fierce metallic riffs that escalate into relentless rhythms, building up to an intense breakdown. The track is driven by robust vocals that deliver poignant lyrics about the pain of unfulfilled hopes and desires, touching on themes of love, loss, and the pursuit of happiness that resonates with listeners on a personal level.

According to vocalist Simon Hereth, “Happiness Ain’t Meant For All” encapsulates the disappointment experienced when aspirations fall short and dreams remain out of reach. The track speaks to the universal feeling of longing for something more, whether it is love, fulfillment, or simple joy, and the subsequent heartache that follows when those desires go unfulfilled.

Recorded and produced by Jason Rowe and mixed and mastered by Justin Felder, Bastian Kühn, and David Deutsch at 1408 Productions, “Happiness Ain’t Meant For All” promises to deliver a raw and authentic hardcore experience. The EP will be available on vinyl through Subculture For Life Records and on cassette through DITS Records, catering to fans who appreciate physical formats and collectible releases.

THIN ICE comprises Simon Hereth on vocals, Tobias Schuldheis and Lukas Kaiser on guitars, Julian Hereth on bass, and Michael Wirsing on drums. The band’s EP artwork for “Happiness Ain’t Meant For All” sets the tone for the intense and emotive journey that listeners can expect from the tracklist, which includes songs such as “Mind’s At War,” “Bite The Hand,” and “Let The Pain Begin.”

As THIN ICE gears up for the release of “Happiness Ain’t Meant For All,” they are also preparing to hit the stage with a series of live performances across Europe, bringing their electrifying energy and uncompromising hardcore sound to audiences in cities like Rauhenebrach, Pilsen, Furth, and Rosenheim.
