Todd, Dane, and Tyla Campbell, sons of the late Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell, have announced that they will be holding two memorial concerts in August and September to honor their father, who passed away in March. The brothers took to social media to confirm these shows.

The first of these concerts is scheduled to take place on August 22 at Chepstow Castle in Wales. The second show will be held on September 5 at Hella Rock Festival at HMV Empire in Coventry, England. Despite the recent loss of their father, the brothers expressed their determination to proceed with these performances, offering fans a chance to pay tribute to Phil Campbell.

Deciding to continue in the music industry under the name Phil Campbell’s Bastard Sons, the brothers emphasized that these concerts will serve as memorials to celebrate their father’s life. They encouraged fans to show their support by attending these events and hinted at future show announcements in the near future.

Phil Campbell, recognized for his contributions to Motörhead as their guitarist from 1984 to 2015, played a significant role in the band’s success. With numerous album appearances during his tenure, including classics like Orgasmatron, 1916, and B*stards, he left a lasting legacy.

Following the disbandment of Motörhead after Lemmy’s passing in 2015, Phil Campbell teamed up with his sons and singer Neil Starr to form Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons in 2016. Releasing an EP in 2016 and their first full album, The Age of Absurdity, in 2018, the group garnered a following for their music.

Phil Campbell’s sudden death at age 64 on March 13 left the music world in mourning. With a lifelong passion for the guitar, he began playing at the age of 10 and earned a spot in Motörhead at just 23 after performing extensively in South Wales.

Joining the Campbells at Chepstow Castle will be Chris Holmes, Tygers of Pan Tang, and King Kraken, offering a diverse lineup for attendees to enjoy. Additionally, Hella Rock Festival will pay tribute by renaming its main stage The Phil Campbell Stage in honor of the late guitarist.

Tickets for both concerts are currently available for purchase on philcampbell.net, providing fans with an opportunity to come together and celebrate the life and legacy of Phil Campbell through music.
