HELL drops new single and music video ‘Catching Thunder’
Every Hell, a band based in Brighton and Bristol, has recently released a captivating new single titled “Catching Thunder.” This talented group, which includes vocalist and saxophonist Will Gardner, has been making waves in the UK rock scene with their unique sound and bold musical choices.
Gardner shares that “Catching Thunder” was one of the first tracks the band wrote after their Vertebrate EP. The song holds a special meaning, emphasizing the importance of staying strong and maintaining self-belief during challenging times. The juxtaposition of “Catching Thunder” serves as a metaphor for the difficulty of catching something intangible, like air.
The process of creating the track involved collaboration among band members, with bass player Andrew Gosden contributing a bass line that inspired the vocal hook. The chorus riff, reminiscent of Queens of the Stone Age, was jammed out collectively. Despite some disagreements during the composition process, the band settled on a powerful ending that adds a unique dynamic to their live performances.
Producer and drummer Mark Roberts sheds light on the making of the music video for “Catching Thunder.” The band aimed to break the fourth wall and steer away from the conventional performance video format. The video was shot quickly, embracing imperfections and highlighting the process of creating a visual representation of the song’s narrative. Every Hell will be hitting the road in May, with upcoming shows alongside Haggard Cat and Alpha Male Tea Party. They are also set to perform at the Great Escape Festival and will be supporting the recently reformed Arcane Roots in July. The band’s eclectic lineup, which includes members with diverse musical backgrounds and industry experience, contributes to their unique sound and magnetic stage presence.
The band has already garnered attention with a series of infectious singles and their debut EP, “Vertebrate,” released in 2024.
