Irish rock band U2 is set to make a comeback with their first studio album of new songs in nearly a decade, which will be accompanied by a new single titled Street Of Dreams. The band, led by the iconic Bono, will be dropping their highly anticipated album later this year, much to the excitement of their dedicated fan base. The new single, Street Of Dreams, was officially released on Tuesday in conjunction with a visually stunning music video shot in Mexico City during the 2026 Street Child World Cup Finals Tournament at Parque Ecologico Lago Ae Texcoco.

In the captivating music video, the band, comprised of Bono, guitarist The Edge, bass player Adam Clayton, and drummer Larry Mullen Jr, can be seen energetically performing for enthusiastic fans amidst the bustling streets of Mexico City. The striking imagery captures the essence of the band’s enduring spirit and passion for their craft as they connect with their audience in a raw and authentic way. A particularly memorable moment from the shoot occurred near Plaza Santo Domingo, where unanticipated thunderstorms led to a generator failure, prompting a local family to graciously invite the band into their apartment to film from the balcony, adding an unexpected touch of intimacy to the production.

Street Of Dreams has been released under Island Records and boasts the production expertise of Jacknife Lee. This milestone release comes at a special time for U2, as they celebrate an impressive 50 years in the music industry in 2026. The music video for the single showcases the band performing on top of a graffiti-covered bus, exuding an infectious energy that harkens back to their iconic 1987 hit, Where The Streets Have No Name.

With a career spanning over four decades since their formation in 1976, U2 has enjoyed immense success with seven UK number one singles and 11 number one albums under their belt. Following the release of their 2023 album, Songs Of Surrender, and the 2017 album, Songs Of Experience, the band’s upcoming record promises to be a highly anticipated addition to their storied discography. Notable for their chart-topping hits such as Sunday Bloody Sunday, Beautiful Day, and Vertigo, U2 continues to enthrall audiences worldwide with their distinctive sound and socially conscious lyrics that have left an indelible mark on the music industry.
