Let Dad Open for Blood Sweat and Tears at the Original Site of Woodstock this August

Ties? Boring. Golf balls? Predictable. Want to really WOW Dad this Father’s Day? Send him to Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp and watch him live out his dreams as he rocks out with musical legends.

From the minute Dad arrives at Camp, his rock ‘n’ roll adventure begins. Campers are placed into a band and meet, jam with and receive intensive instruction from their rock star counselor. Campers also have the opportunity to spend time creating and recording original music and take a variety of “Master Classes” conducted by rock icons. Finally, they hit the stage for a closing-night concert.

Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp is coming to New York/Bethel Woods August 12-14, 2011 for the ultimate camp for Dads who love the music of the 60s and 70s. The weekend kicks off in NYC at Gibson Rehearsal Studios with counselors like Leslie West . Then, everyone will board a tour bus and head to Bethel Woods Amphitheater, home of the original Woodstock festival, to perform as the Opening Act for Blood Sweat and Tears, Tommy James and The Shondells and The Family Stone. Set to Hit the Road This Summer with Very Special Guests: Heart

Tickets set to go on-sale March 4th!

Def Leppard , Great Britain’s premiere arena rock band, have announced that they will make their triumphant return to the US with a summer tour kicking off on June 15 in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Joining Def Leppard for this highly anticipated tour are Seattle rock legends Heart. Leppard’s influential career includes numerous hit singles and ground-breaking multi-platinum albums — including two of the best-selling albums of all time, Pyromania and Hysteria . The anthemic rock megastars have earned their stripes as one of the most enduring and successful touring acts in history. Heart showed the world that women can rock when they stormed the charts with hits like “Crazy on You,” “Magic Man,” “Barracuda,” “Alone” and many more, a stream of hits showcasing the sisters’ enormous talents as both musicians and singers, selling more than 30 million records.  Tickets for the Live Nation produced tour will go on sale on beginning March 4th at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.  Additional dates to be announced soon.

“After having had the last 18 months off, Leppard are ready to get back on the road!  Add Heart to the bill and it truly makes for a special evening,” says singer Joe Elliott. (more…)

Queen‘s 40th anniversary is now upon us, and the band plans to pull out all the stops to celebrate this historic occasion. “2011 is an important year for Queen,” said Brian May “and there will be a lot of activity.” Adds Roger Taylor, “I can’t believe it’s been that long and that we are still around in such a big way. I’m amazed and grateful!” This yearlong event will be marked by a series of releases, re-releases, special limited-edition items and events around the world.

QUEEN

It was in March 1971 that bassist John Deacon joined May and Taylor’s buzzed-about London group, which had changed its name from Smile to Queen nine months earlier, following the addition of multitalented singer/pianist Freddie Mercury, thus completing the classic lineup. The four simpatico musicians proceeded to take the world by storm. The band has released a total of 18 chart-topping albums and 18 #1 singles, while selling more than 300 million albums worldwide, making them one of the biggest rock acts of all time. They’ve received seven Ivor Novello awards in the U.K., were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003, the UK Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and even received their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in October 2002.
