As of July 24, 2025, the Wellington-based rock band This Silent Divide has unveiled their newest single and music video, “City Lights,” as the 13th Floor’s latest song of the day feature. Known for their distinctive blend of driving drums, wall-of-sound guitars, and melodic tones, the group has built a reputation for creating infectious and high-energy tracks. “City Lights” was recorded and mixed under the guidance of producer Toby Lloyd at Wellington’s renowned Tiny Triumph Recordings.
The accompanying music video for “City Lights” exudes a gritty and dynamic essence, filmed within a workshop located in Wellington’s Eastern Suburbs. Directed by the talented Theo Vila, the video showcases a vivid display of musicians and music enthusiasts, adding depth to the visual storytelling of the track.
To commemorate the release of “City Lights,” This Silent Divide is gearing up for a series of shows across the North Island. Additionally, fans can expect the unveiling of more singles, live performances, and the release of an EP in the coming months. Upcoming shows include a performance at Rosemary’s in Taupo on Saturday, August 9, supporting Danny Rascal, as well as a gig at The Welsh Dragon in Wellington on Friday, August 22, supporting Electric Tapestry, Rain, and Los Punkys.
