The Breadmakers Host Half Baked Festival #1

The Breadmakers are gearing up for their very own festival, Half Baked #1, as they mark their 36th anniversary in style. This rock n roll party has been 36 years in the making and promises to be a night to remember. Limited to just 125 tickets for the 125 coolest people in town, this is an event not to be missed.

The Breadmakers have gone out of their way to celebrate their fans and friends by curating a lineup of some of their favorite rock n roll bands from around the globe. They received an overwhelming response when they sent out their invitations, with only the best and brightest acts accepting the call.

Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, The Fadeaways are set to make their only Melbourne appearance at Half Baked. This group, celebrating their own 20-year anniversary, started out as young punks but have grown into one of the premier garage punk bands in the world, earning the title of “one of the greatest live bands on the planet.”

Joining the lineup are Thee Cha Cha Chas, described by The Breadmakers as their cheeky, foul-mouthed younger relatives. Despite their mischievous antics, The Breadies can’t help but love them, and they are thrilled to have them back in Australia for Half Baked. Thee Chas will have copies of their debut LP, Temple of Mirth, available for sale at the event.

In addition to The Fadeaways and Thee Cha Cha Chas, The Breadmakers themselves will take the stage, along with a mystery band whose identity remains secret even to themselves. Owen Penglis of The Straight Arrows will be flying down from Sydney to MC the night and DJ in between sets, ensuring the party doesn’t stop until the early hours.

To add to the excitement, the bands will be serving up complimentary Japanese treats throughout the night. From sushi trays to vegetarian gyozas to finger-licking karaage chicken, there will be a range of delicious options for attendees to enjoy. And to top it off, every guest will receive a complimentary vinyl LP or 7″ to take home, included in the ticket price.

With only 125 tickets available, this is an exclusive event for the coolest people in Melbourne. Pre-sale tickets are $39, with door tickets priced at $49. Half Baked Festival is set to take place on Saturday, 15th November from 6pm at The Gem on Wellington Street in Collingwood.

Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind celebration of rock n roll, friendship, and good times. Grab your ticket and get ready to party with the Breadmakers and their amazing lineup of bands!
