Goo Goo Dolls have unveiled a new live version of their global hit, “Iris,” following a remarkable performance at California’s Stagecoach Music Festival. The track, which has gained resurgence after going viral on TikTok, has earned a Certified Diamond status and amassed over 5 billion streams worldwide, with more than a billion streams in 2025 alone. “Iris” has been covered by popular artists like Taylor Swift, Machine Gun Kelly, Phoebe Bridgers, and Maggie Rogers, solidifying the enduring appeal of Goo Goo Dolls’ music.
The band’s influence is evident as “Iris” became the 9th most-streamed song globally on Spotify’s Daily Chart, nearly 30 years since its original release. Goo Goo Dolls recently dropped their “Summer Anthem” EP through Warner Records, featuring tracks like “Not Goodbye (Close My Eyes)” and “Nothing Lasts Forever.” The EP showcases the band’s signature lyrical depth and has solidified their status as one of the most significant alternative rock acts in music history.
