David Gilmour’s New Concert Album and Film ‘Live at the Circus Maximus’ Receives Praise

David Gilmore, the guitar legend and former Pink Floyd member, is currently embarking on a successful tour following the release of his 2024 studio album, “Luck and Strange.” The tour saw Gilmore performing in various cities across the globe and has been immortalized in two exceptional live releases, “The Luck and Strange Concerts” and “Live at the Circus Maximus.”

The double release of the live albums took place on October 17, 2025, much to the delight of Gilmore’s dedicated fan base. Additionally, a special limited theatrical screening of the “Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome” film was showcased in cinemas and IMAX theaters worldwide in September of the same year. The official trailer for the film was revealed to the public on August 6, building anticipation for the forthcoming releases.

“Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome” is available on 2-Blu-ray and 3-DVD sets, featuring bonus unseen footage and mixed in 5.1 and Atmos (Blu-ray only). These formats offer viewers an immersive experience of Gilmore’s electrifying performances on stage, providing a front-row seat to the magic of his live shows.

Gilmore’s concert tour kickstarted with warm-up shows in Brighton before heading to Circus Maximus in Rome for a series of six nights. Subsequently, he graced the Royal Albert Hall in London, mesmerized audiences in the U.S. at venues like the Intuit Dome and Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and concluded his tour with a five-night run at Madison Square Garden in New York.

“The Luck and Strange Concerts” include 23 tracks spread across 4-LPs or 2-CDs, featuring a blend of solo tracks from Gilmore’s latest album. Notable performances during the concerts include renditions of Pink Floyd classics like “Breathe (In the Air),” “Time,” “Wish You Were Here,” and “Comfortably Numb.” A standout moment from the concerts is Gilmore’s heartwarming duet with his daughter, Romany Gilmore, on the track “Between Two Points.”

Both “The Luck and Strange Concerts” and “Live at the Circus Maximus” have been co-produced by Gilmore himself and Charlie Andrew, the co-producer of Gilmore’s “Luck and Strange” album. The attention to detail and passion poured into the production of these albums ensure a captivating audiovisual experience for fans and music enthusiasts alike.
