Five additional arrests made in connection to Louvre jewel heist investigation
A deepening probe into the daring crown-jewel heist at the Louvre museum in Paris has resulted in the arrest of five additional individuals, bringing the total number of detainees to seven. The latest arrests include a suspect linked to the robbery through DNA evidence, further expanding the investigation across Paris and its suburbs.
French authorities revealed that three out of the four alleged members of the “commando” team, as dubbed by the media, are now in custody following late-night operations in Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis. Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau disclosed that one of the detainees is believed to be part of the brazen quartet responsible for storming the Apollo Gallery in broad daylight on October 19.
