2000trees Festival announces 2026 lineup featuring Alkaline Trio as lead performer
Alkaline Trio is set to take the stage as the headliner for the 2026 edition of the 2000trees Festival. The iconic punk rock band, known for hits such as “Stupid Kid,” “Time To Waste,” and “Mercy Me,” will mark their only UK festival performance of the year at Upcote Farm in Gloucestershire.
Making a grand entrance as the Thursday night headliners, the group expressed their excitement about returning to the UK for the festival this summer. In a statement, they emphasized their admiration for the festival’s independent ethos and eagerly anticipated their long-awaited comeback. The band, consisting of Matt Skiba, Dan Andriano, and drummer Atom Willard, has been a fixture in the music scene since the mid-90s and recently dropped their 10th album, “Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs,” in 2025.
Their impressive track record includes four consecutive albums – starting with 2010’s “This Addiction,” followed by “My Shame Is True” in 2013, and culminating in 2018’s “Is This Thing Cursed?” – that all secured top-four spots on the UK Rock charts. While the Friday and Saturday night headliners remain a mystery, festival-goers can anticipate a stellar lineup from July 8 to July 11.
Joining Alkaline Trio in the festival’s inaugural lineup announcement are several notable names, including Pup, The Dirty Nil, Bad Nerves, Lambrini Girls, Cancer Bats, Glassjaw, Dinosaur Pile-Up, and High Vis. Organiser James Scarlett hailed the lineup as one of the festival’s strongest to date, emphasizing the event’s impressive Wednesday roster.
Scarlett urged fans to act swiftly, as four-day tickets are already in high demand. With a diverse lineup featuring returning favorites and up-and-coming acts like Pinkshift, Nothing, Banks Arcade, Scowl, and House of Protection, the festival promises a blend of established artists and rising stars.
As the countdown to 2000trees Festival 2026 begins, Scarlett issued a final reminder to secure tickets promptly to experience the ultimate UK rock festival early-entry day. With a limited number of four-day passes remaining, eager fans are encouraged to act swiftly to avoid missing out on this unforgettable musical experience.
