2000trees Festival announces 2026 lineup featuring Alkaline Trio as main headliner
2000trees Festival has officially announced Alkaline Trio as the headliner for the upcoming 2026 event. The punk rock band, famous for hits like “Stupid Kid,” “Time To Waste,” and “Mercy Me,” is set to make its only UK festival appearance of the year at Upcote Farm in Gloucestershire. Their performance is scheduled for Thursday night, marking a significant addition to the festival’s lineup.
The group expressed their excitement about returning to the UK for the summer festival in a recent statement. With a message filled with anticipation, they mentioned their fondness for the independent spirit of the festival and their eager anticipation of a long-overdue return. The band lineup consists of core members Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano, along with drummer Atom Willard, who have been actively performing since their formation in the mid-90s.
Their latest album, “Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs,” released last year, adds to their extensive discography, which includes successful albums like “This Addiction,” “My Shame Is True,” and “Is This Thing Cursed?” All these records have enjoyed top-four positions on the UK Rock charts, solidifying their reputation and fan base over the years.
While the Friday and Saturday night headliners are yet to be revealed, the festival dates are set from Wednesday, July 8 to Saturday, July 11. A glimpse into the first wave lineup unveils other notable bands like Pup, The Dirty Nil, Bad Nerves, Lambrini Girls, Cancer Bats, Glassjaw, Dinosaur Pile-Up, and High Vis, promising a diverse and exciting musical experience.
2000trees festival organizer and head booker, James Scarlett, shared his enthusiasm about the lineup, describing it as one of the strongest first announcements in the festival’s history. Noting the brisk sales of four-day tickets, he advised fans to act quickly to secure their spots for what promises to be an unforgettable event. With returning favorites and fresh talent on the roster, there is something for everyone at the festival.
Scarlett emphasized the limited availability of four-day tickets and urged fans to grab them before they sell out. The lineup features a mix of established acts like Alkaline Trio and fan favorites like Dinosaur Pile-Up, alongside new and emerging artists like Pinkshift, Nothing, Banks Arcade, Scowl, and House of Protection. As anticipation builds for the festival, music enthusiasts are encouraged to secure their tickets promptly to avoid missing out on the ultimate UK rock festival experience.
