Pittsburgh-based dreampop/post-punk band Lowsunday has recently premiered a new video for their track “Innocence (2025 electro mix)”, featured on the extended 30th-anniversary remaster of their debut album “Low Sunday Ghost Machine”. This remastered edition, released digitally on September 5, 2025, includes a range of materials from the band’s mid-90s sessions in the form of new mixes and reinterpretations. Notably, the tracks “Innocence (2025 electro mix)” and “For A Moment (2025 electro mix)” were both produced and mixed by band members Shane Sahene and Bobby Spell, who joined the band post-original album sessions and made an appearance on the 2001 Projekt album “Elesgiem”.

The music video for “Innocence (2025 electro mix)” was directed by Jer Herring and is part of a visual duo alongside the video for “For A Moment (2025 electro mix)”. The remastered edition of “Low Sunday Ghost Machine” offers an expanded version of the band’s 1996 debut album, initially self-released under the name Low Sunday Ghost Machine. This new iteration comprises nine remastered album tracks on the first disc and an additional second disc with seven bonus tracks, which include unreleased material from the mid-’90s and new 2025 mixes.

Complementing the digital release, Lowsunday has also introduced a limited 7″ single featuring “Static” and “Besides” on grey marble vinyl with a silver foil emboss on the cover. Originally pressed by Bliss Records in 1997, this 7″ showcases a re-recorded version of “Static” on the A-side and the exclusive track “Besides” on the B-side, a song only available on this specific format. This limited-edition single is now available for purchase through Projekt’s store and Bandcamp.

The band’s history traces back to its formation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1994 under the name Low Sunday Ghost Machine, emerging as a notable figure in the early American shoegaze and dreampop scene. With their self-released debut album in 1996, the band established their unique sound, blending dark rock elements with dream-like textures. Over the years, the band transitioned to Lowsunday and signed with Projekt Records to release their second album “Elesgiem” in 1999/2001, further deepening their shoegaze and dreampop influences while incorporating post-punk and indie-rock sensibilities.

Throughout their musical journey, core member Shane Sahene, alongside various musicians including Marc Turina, LP Cyburt, Scott Bedillion, Dale Reckless, Eric Arnold, Shaun Leslie, Bobby Spell, and AT Vish, have contributed to the band’s evolving sound. Lowsunday’s recent collaborations with Projekt Records on remastering projects have seen the release of reissued and expanded editions of their albums, with the 2025 remaster of “Low Sunday Ghost Machine” being the latest addition to their catalog, featuring era-specific materials and new electro mixes like “Innocence (2025 electro mix)” and “For A Moment (2025 electro mix)”.
