Great American Ghost releases visualizer for new single “Scars”
Great American Ghost, consisting of Ethan Harrison, Niko Gasparrini, Grayson Stewart, and Anthony Laur, from New Hampshire recently released a visualizer for their latest standalone single, “Scars.” The band also commenced a headline North American tour featuring labelmates Saltwound. This new song showcases a different, angrier side compared to their previous works. Harrison describes “Scars” as the heaviest track recorded during the Tragedy of The Commons sessions. The band felt that this song required a separate release to emphasize its significance and intensity.
The recent single, “Scars,” follows up on their cover of Deftones’ “Hole in the Earth” from 2006’s album, “Saturday Night Wrist,” released earlier this summer. Great American Ghost, hailing from the Northeast, established their unique style back in 2012. They have steadily evolved throughout their releases, including “Everyone Leaves” (2015), “Hatred Stems From The Seed” (2017), and “Power Through Terror” (2020), recognized as one of RIFF’s 60 Best Metal Albums of 2020. Their 2022 EP, “Torture World,” garnered high praise, with NO ECHO describing it as “a 4-song EP as brutal as its title suggests,” and V13 praising its ferocity.
Throughout their career, Great American Ghost has toured with prominent bands like The Ghost Inside, Alpha Wolf, and Fit For A King. Signing with Sharptone Records, the band collaborated with producer Will Putney to create “Tragedy Of The Commons,” which released in early 2025. The band’s growth and success are evident in their accomplishments and body of work, including the recent impactful single, “Scars.”
