Nashville’s Indie Rock ensemble The Brook & The Bluff has unveiled details about their upcoming album, Werewolf, set to release on March 6th, 2026 via Dualtone Records. Drawing heavily from their live performances, Werewolf is being described as a groundbreaking record by the band.

The album’s first single, “Super Bowl Sunday,” offers introspective lyrics delving into themes of masculinity, ego, and the unbreakable connections between individuals.

In conjunction with the album’s release, The Brook & The Bluff have announced an extensive national headlining tour, commencing in March 2026. The tour itinerary includes prominent venues such as DC’s 9:30 Club, Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, Webster Hall in NYC, The Bellweather in LA, and the Ogden Theatre in Denver.

The band sheds light on the inspiration behind the lead single, “Super Bowl Sunday,” stating that the track explores the notion of retreating into the comfort zone, evading growth and remaining stagnant due to fear. It reflects a pivotal moment in life where tough decisions are to be made, yet the temptation to maintain the status quo prevails. The track combines reflective lyrics with compelling guitar melodies, encapsulating the struggles of resisting change.

Following an intense decade of relentless touring, The Brook & The Bluff decided to take a breather last year. They anchored themselves in Nashville, devoting each weekday morning to band rehearsals. In these sessions, the group extracted influences from iconic Southern bands such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tom Petty, Eagles, and Little Feat, infusing their own style into each song. The band is known for crafting melodically rich tunes that combine power with substance, often challenging stereotypical notions of manhood in contemporary Southern culture.

Prior to entering the studio with producer Micah Tawlks (known for his work with Hayley Williams, Mat Kearney, and COIN), the quartet meticulously honed each track through numerous live performances. The studio sessions mirrored a live concert experience, with all members playing together in real-time. Songs were recorded multiple times in a circular format, with each member contributing their signature flair, resulting in polished final tracks.

The Brook & The Bluff’s upcoming tour will span major cities across the U.S. and Canada, culminating in May 2026. Fans can catch the band at a range of venues, including Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern, The Fillmore in San Francisco, and The Bellwether in Los Angeles. Experience their electrifying live performances as they bring their invigorating music to stages nationwide.
