The Hellacopters to Release New Collection of Rare Tracks ‘Cream of the Crap!’

Thirty years have passed since Swedish rock band THE HELLACOPTERS burst onto the scene, and they are still going strong. After the successful release of their latest album, “Overdriver,” which topped the charts in Sweden and made it into the top 10 in Germany, the band is gearing up to give their fans a dose of nostalgia. Their new offering, “Cream Of The Crap! Collected Non-Album Works • Volume 3,” is a compilation of rare and lesser-known tracks that were originally released between 1998 and 2005. These tracks were previously only available on vinyl and out-of-print CDs, making this release a treat for die-hard fans.

The collection features 24 tracks, including original songs like ‘Disappointment Blues,’ ‘Freeway To Hell,’ ‘Doggone Your Bad-Luck Soul,’ ‘Ferrytale,’ and ‘Long Gone Losers,’ as well as cover versions of songs by artists such as Motörhead, Wilson Pickett, MC5, Smokey Robinson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Alice Cooper, among others. The set has been meticulously compiled by Robert Eriksson, transferred from master tapes and vinyl by Henke Jonsson, and remastered for optimal audio quality by Magnus Lindberg.

Among the highlights of this release is the track ‘Long Gone Losers,’ originally featured on the 1998 EP ‘Disappointment Blues.’ Fans can now stream the remastered version of this track online. Additionally, pre-orders for “Cream Of The Crap! The upcoming release will be available in various formats, including gatefold 2LP in Blue, White, Dark Green, and Black Marbled with a poster and logo stencil, gatefold 2LP in Black with a poster, gatefold 2LP in Transparent Green with a poster, CD Jewelcase, and Digital Album. The physical editions will also include a bonus track, ‘Sent En Lördagkväll,’ a cover of Nationalteatern.
