Portuguese metal band Cult Of Alcaeus recently unveiled the third and final chapter of their ‘Doomed Cycles’ trilogy. The latest addition to this trilogy is a lyric video for the song “The Odyssey Of The Soul,” which was released on December 1st, 2025, exactly one year after the original single made its debut. This video delves deep into the emotional and existential themes of the track, taking viewers on a journey through inner turmoil and self-realization, exploring the darker aspects of the soul. The band enlisted the help of long-time supporter @x-esdeathAMV, who used an anime-inspired aesthetic to enhance the storytelling of the song and bring the trilogy to a satisfying conclusion.

Comprising three distinct parts – “Forged By Rage,” “Iron Rebellion,” and “The Odyssey Of The Soul,” the Doomed Cycles trilogy provides a thought-provoking narrative about humanity’s perpetual battle against its self-destructive tendencies. Cult Of Alcaeus, originating from the Seixal Bay Area in Lisbon, are known for fusing elements of death, thrash, and groove metal in their music. Their soundscapes often depict emotional, existential, and societal turmoil, capturing the essence of human struggle through their music.

Earlier in 2025, the Doomed Cycles trilogy material was featured in the split release “Doomed Algorithms” under the banner of Italian label Nova Era Records. This release was a significant moment for the band as they continue to make a mark within the European extreme metal scene.

The new video for “The Odyssey Of The Soul” adds another layer to Cult Of Alcaeus’ growing repertoire of visual content, providing fans with a deeper insight into the band’s creative vision. The band’s dedication to exploring complex themes through their music and accompanying visuals has garnered them a dedicated following.

As Cult Of Alcaeus ventures into new artistic territories, pushing the boundaries of their creativity, fans can expect more captivating content from the band in the future.
