German progressive power metal band Assignment is excited to announce the upcoming release of their latest studio album, titled “With the End Comes Silence”, set to launch on February 6th, 2026. This highly anticipated album will be available in Digipak CD format and as a limited double vinyl LP through Massacre Records. To kick off the excitement surrounding this new musical chapter, the band has unveiled the album’s opening track and lead single, “Fallen”, along with a captivating lyric video.

According to the band’s guitarist, Goran Panić, “Fallen” was chosen as the perfect album opener due to its ability to set the pace and tone for what lies ahead. The song delves into a central theme the band often explores – the recognition that there are evident issues in today’s world. Reflecting societal decay, disillusionment, and a shift towards darker times, the track combines powerful vocals, atmospheric arrangements, and emotional depth, making it an ideal entry point to the album’s narrative.

“With the End Comes Silence” promises to showcase Assignment’s evolution in songwriting, with a focus on tighter structures and enhanced production quality. While staying true to their diverse musical influences, ranging from power and thrash to progressive metal and hard rock, the album aims to deliver a cohesive and immersive listening experience. Noteworthy guest appearances on the album include Thomas Vikström on backing vocals, Marco Ahrens on lead guitars for select tracks, and Simone Mularoni, mastermind of DGM, contributing his expertise on lead guitar for another.

The band took charge of producing the album themselves, with mixing and mastering duties handled by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio. Through this collaborative effort, Assignment aimed to elevate their sound to new heights, effectively translating their artistic vision into a sonic reality. “With the End Comes Silence” is poised to stand out as the band’s most focused and emotionally resonant work to date, presenting a cinematic and thought-provoking metal experience that mirrors the turbulent state of the world while celebrating the enduring spirit of the genre.

Diego Valdez on vocals, Goran Panić on guitars, Heiko Spaarmann on bass, and Michael Kolar on drums make up the core lineup of Assignment, bringing together their individual talents to create a cohesive and impactful musical journey. As fans eagerly await the release of “With the End Comes Silence” in early February, the band continues to build anticipation through engaging with their audience on their official website and Facebook page. Stay tuned for more updates as Assignment gears up to unveil their latest musical opus to the world.
