Savannah Pope and Andy Bell wow crowds with impressive performances at Seattle’s famous Showbox

The atmosphere at the Showbox was warm and welcoming, with strangers becoming friends on the dance floor as they turned to one another to belt out the night’s closer, “A Little Respect,” one of Erasure’s biggest hits.

Bell deserves that respect himself. In 2023, the English-born singer-songwriter received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the British LGBT Awards. At 61, he shows no signs of slowing down, commanding the room with crystalline high notes and dance moves delivered with the joy—and stamina—of someone who knows the whole crowd is watching and secretly trying to keep up.
