SOEN Debuts Music Video for “Discordia”
The Swedish progressive metal band, SOEN, has selected “Discordia” as the third single from their seventh studio album titled “Reliance.” Their upcoming album is scheduled for release on January 16th through Silver Lining Music. The band’s drummer, Martin Lopez, who was previously associated with Opeth and Amon Amarth, commented on the new track by stating that “Discordia” showcases their exploration into different sonic and emotional territories. They aimed to capture the transition from self-protection to isolation by experimenting with darker textures. Vocalist Joel Ekelöf added that the song delves into the conflict between seeking connection and putting up barriers to shield oneself from pain. It is a composition that emerged from vulnerability and their willingness to navigate the uncharted realms of their sound.
