This new venture coincides with the forthcoming release of a new solo album and a long-awaited 4 Non Blondes album both scheduled for 2026. The collaboration began when Kill Rock Stars approached Perry’s team about reissuing her debut solo album In Flight on vinyl for Record Store Day Black Friday 2025, a project that Perry’s team enthusiastically embraced. Subsequently, discussions led to the idea of collaborating on new music, a notion that Kill Rock Stars readily supported. After a few months of fruitful conversations, the partnership was solidified. In 1989, Linda Perry formed the band 4 Non Blondes in the Bay Area amidst an earthquake alongside co-founding bassist Christa Hillhouse. Initially rising to fame with their debut album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More!, which featured the hit song “What’s Up?,” 4 Non Blondes achieved platinum status and garnered significant success. Despite disbanding in 1994, Perry continued her journey in the music industry as a skilled songwriter, producer, and label owner, collaborating on numerous platinum records for artists such as Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, and P!nk.

Recently, Linda Perry initiated a reunion with 4 Non Blondes, bringing together original band members for the first time in over three decades. Reflecting on the reunion, Perry expressed excitement about the opportunity to step back into the spotlight as an artist and explore new possibilities. Following a rehearsal in San Francisco that initially felt awkward, the band’s chemistry and musical synergy led to the creation of new material, blending old and new songs seamlessly. Perry praised her bandmates’ exceptional talent and expressed her gratitude for the chance to showcase their skills. She reflected on the simplicity of the process, from reuniting to writing new music, illustrating the band’s potential to captivate audiences once again through their collaborative efforts.
