Stereophonics impresses with classic hits during tour and new album.

Stereophonics took the stage at Sheffield Arena on December 7 as part of their 17-date Sky’s Edge arena tour, which attracted over 200,000 fans from all over the UK and Ireland. The Welsh rock band, led by Kelly Jones, performed songs spanning their three-decade career, including tracks from their 13th studio album, “Make ‘Em Laugh, Make ‘Em Cry, Make ‘Em Wait,” released in April through EMI Records.

Formed in 1992 in Cwmaman, Wales, by Kelly Jones and childhood friend Richard Jones, along with drummer Stuart Cable, Stereophonics released their debut album, “Word Gets Around,” in 1997. Since then, they have achieved nine albums in the top five of the British charts, sold over 10 million albums worldwide, and secured a number one single with “Dakota” in 2005.

The Sheffield concert featured a plethora of hits from the band’s extensive catalog.
