Tori Amos is set to release an expanded edition of her 2001 album “Strange Little Girls” in February, featuring a previously unreleased studio version of Bruce Springsteen’s “Growin’ Up.” This Grammy-nominated concept album is a unique take on songs written by men but sung from a female perspective. Alongside Springsteen’s track, the album includes covers of Eminem’s “’97 Bonnie & Clyde,” Slayer’s “Raining Blood,” The Beatles’ “Happiness Is a Warm Gun,” The Velvet Underground’s “New Age,” and Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold.”

“Grown’ Up,” which showcases Amos on piano and vocals with Matt Chamberlain on drums, is just one of the unreleased tracks featured on the expanded edition. The album also includes Elvis Costello’s “Hoover Factory” and two previously released B-sides, David Bowie’s “After All” and Alice Cooper’s “Only Women Bleed.”

In addition to this reissue, Amos has exciting plans for the spring, with a European tour on the horizon and a new album titled “In Times of Dragons.” Described as a metaphorical story about the fight for Democracy over Tyranny, the album reflects current events involving the erosion of democracy by what Amos calls “Dictator believing Lizard Demons” in America.
