Satchvai Band (Joe Satriani and Steve Vai) to embark on inaugural U.S. tour
Renowned guitar virtuosos Joe Satriani and Steve Vai recently announced their first-ever U.S. tour as the SATCHVAI Band, following a highly successful debut tour in Europe. The “Surfing with the Hydra” 2026 tour is set to kick off on April 1 in Seattle, WA, with a final stop in Vienna, VA at Wolf Trap on May 30. Animals as Leaders will be supporting the band throughout the entire tour.
After captivating audiences across major European cities and festivals last summer, including London, Paris, and Hellfest, Satriani and Vai are gearing up to bring their signature electrifying energy to American stages. The tour will feature a brand-new video and single titled “Dancing,” set to be released on March 2, 2026, via earMUSIC.

Formed in March 2024, the SATCHVAI Band marks the first formal joining of forces between Satriani and Vai.
