New video previewing ending theme for “Roll Over and Die” anime, debuting on January 8
The upcoming television anime adaptation of the light novel series ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword! has unveiled a new “image promotional video” and two additional “image visuals.” Set to premiere on January 8 on Tokyo MX and BS11 at 12:30 a.m., with later airings on AT-X starting on January 10, the anime is generating excitement among fans.
One notable feature of the promo video is a sneak peek at Yuki Tanaka’s ending theme song entitled “I Need.” The anime, entitled Roll Over and Die internationally, will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll worldwide, excluding Asia, but including India and the Indian Subcontinent. The cast includes talented voice actors such as Ayaka Nanase as Flum Apricot, Miku Itō as Milkit, and Miki Kariya as Cyrill Sweechka, among others.
Nobuharu Kamanaka, known for their work on Detective Conan, is directing the anime at ACGT, while Mariko Kunisawa, famous for Ascendance of a Bookworm, is in charge of the series composition. The character designs are being handled by a talented team consisting of Miki Matsumoto, Fumio Matsumoto, Takaaki Fukuyo, and Takafumi Furusawa. The music for the anime is being composed by Ryō Takahashi, known for their work on Arifureta – From Commonplace to World’s Strongest.
In terms of music, the opening theme song “Liberator” is performed by PassCode, with composition and arrangement by Hirachi Koji, and lyrics by ucio and Konnie Aoki. Yuki Tanaka, who portrays the narrator in the anime, will also perform the ending theme song entitled “I Need.” Tomoya Kinoshita composed and arranged the song, with lyrics penned by Masami Okui.
Seven Seas Entertainment has been actively releasing the light novel series in English, describing it as a “grimdark tale about one woman’s blood-soaked quest to reclaim her life.” The series has garnered popularity, with a combined 415,000 copies in circulation, including digital copies sold. Additionally, Seven Seas also has the manga adaptation by Sunao Minakata in circulation.
