Aussie rock festival Wanstock is making a big comeback in 2026 with an impressive lineup of both homegrown and international rock artists. The festival will take place over two nights in Melbourne at Doncaster and one night in Sydney at Coogee, offering music lovers a chance to experience a mix of renowned acts and emerging talents.

Geoff Wansbrough, the organizer behind Wanstock, initially drew inspiration from the iconic Aussie pub rock era of the ’80s and ’90s. Since its inception in 2018, Wanstock has grown into an annual event that celebrates top-tier musicians alongside rising stars in the music industry.

Taking the main stage at Wanstock in both Melbourne and Sydney will be LOVERBOY, a Canadian rock band that will be performing in Australia for the first time. Recognized for their distinct red leather pants, bandanas, and signature rock sound, LOVERBOY has achieved significant commercial success, selling over 15 million albums and receiving multiple Platinum certifications for their work.

Additionally, the Melbourne lineup will feature 1927, an Australian band that made a significant impact with their debut album “…iSH” in 1988. With chart-topping singles and a record-breaking debut, 1927 quickly solidified their place in the Australian music scene. Their continued success over the years has earned them multiple Platinum records and solidified their status as an iconic Australian band.

The Sydney leg of Wanstock will showcase performances by Choirboys, Taxiride ft. Jason Singh, and Ventura. On the other hand, Melbourne attendees can look forward to Dragon, Bachelor Girl, Stonetrip, Strait Shooters, Pseudo Echo, Taxiride, Standing Room Only, and Daydreamers.

Geoff Wansbrough expressed his excitement for this year’s lineup, emphasizing his commitment to providing a platform for both established and emerging talents. With a mix of classic acts and emerging artists, Wanstock aims to create an unforgettable experience for attendees, offering a blend of nostalgia and fresh musical talent for all to enjoy.

Tickets for Wanstock 2026 are now available, offering fans the opportunity to secure their spots for a weekend filled with live music and entertainment. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this unmissable festival experience that promises to deliver an unforgettable musical journey for rock enthusiasts in Melbourne and Sydney alike.
