Wanstock has set the stage for an epic 2026 festival in Sydney and Melbourne, featuring a lineup that will blow rock enthusiasts away. The event will take place at Shoppingtown Hotel in Doncaster for two nights on Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, along with a show at Selina’s in Sydney on Friday, March 20. Among the impressive array of performers are LOVERBOY from Canada, Dragon from New Zealand, 1927, Pseudo Echo, Bachelor Girl, Taxiride with Jason Singh, and more.

The brainchild behind Wanstock, Geoff Wansbrough, drew inspiration from the iconic Aussie pub rock era of the 80s and 90s. Since its inception in 2018, Wanstock has blossomed into an annual extravaganza, blending seasoned rock legends with emerging talents. This year’s edition promises to deliver a stellar lineup of both local and international acts from the rock genre. Tickets for Wanstock 2026 are currently available for purchase.

Headlining the Saturday stage will be LOVERBOY, making their Australian debut. With over 15 million album sales and hits like “Get Lucky,” “Keep It Up,” and “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” LOVERBOY has cemented their status as rock icons. The band expressed their enthusiasm for touring Australia, stating, “It is a dream come true. Get your tickets now, and we’ll see you down under!”

On Friday, 1927 will kick off the festivities with their explosive sound. The band made waves with their debut album “…iSH” in 1988, becoming the highest-selling debut album by an Australian artist. Their success continued with the release of the multi-Platinum album “The Otherside,” solidifying their position as an iconic Australian band.

Returning to the Wanstock stage, Dragon, originally from New Zealand, has captivated audiences with their progressive rock sound. Hits like “Are You Old Enough” and “April Sun in Cuba” have held firm in the rock pantheon, showcasing the band’s enduring appeal. Dragon expressed their excitement about rejoining Wanstock, sharing their joy in being part of such a remarkable lineup.

Geoff Wansbrough’s love for Australian rock and the spirit of the original Woodstock Music Festival gave birth to Wanstock. The festival started small, with a birthday celebration featuring Geoff’s favorite bands and has evolved into a premier rock event. Each year, Wanstock aims to surpass the previous edition, offering music lovers a chance to relive the glory days of Aussie pub rock. As Geoff elaborated, the festival combines classic acts with emerging talent, creating a vibrant atmosphere for fans to enjoy.

With a lineup that includes iconic bands like LOVERBOY, 1927, Dragon, and Pseudo Echo, Wanstock 2026 promises an unforgettable experience for rock aficionados. The event is a testament to the rich legacy of Australian and international rock music, bringing together fans of all ages to celebrate the power of live music.
