Fujii Kaze’s album “Prema” has returned to the top spot on Japan’s major album charts, topping Billboard Japan’s weekly physical sales ranking and Oricon’s album chart. The album saw a surge in sales as demand spikes in anticipation of his upcoming 2026 concerts.

According to the recent data from Billboard Japan’s Top Albums Sales chart for December 17, 2025, “Prema” sold 26,398 copies, securing its position at No.1 for the second time since its release. The album’s total estimated sales now stand at 353,872 copies.

The album’s resurgence coincided with the launch of ticket sales for Fujii Kaze’s Pre: Prema Tour and Prema World Tour in 2026, with fans receiving serial codes in Japan-release physical copies of the album, driving increased interest and sales.

“Prema,” which was released on September 5, 2025, made a strong chart debut on both Billboard Japan and Oricon. It topped the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart during the week of September 1-7 and maintained its position for three consecutive weeks. High CD sales, downloads, and streaming, as well as the artist’s appearance on TV Asahi’s Music Station and participation in Billie Eilish’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT TOUR, contributed to its success.

Oricon data mirrored this success, where “Prema” debuted at No.1 on the Weekly Album Ranking, selling 192,000 copies in its first week, the highest solo artist opening sales figure that fiscal year. The album achieved a triple crown by also topping the Digital Album and Combined Album charts.

With the growing anticipation for Fujii Kaze’s upcoming live shows, “Prema” has seen a resurgence in sales, reclaiming the top position on major album charts in Japan. The album’s success can be attributed to a combination of strong music sales, strategic marketing tactics, and the artist’s active participation in various media platforms and tours. Fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming concerts and continue to show their support for Fujii Kaze and his music.
