Upcoming Event: Demon, Queen, and Petra Concert in January 2026 – Get Ready to Rock!
Lynyrd Skynyrd have written approximately 30 songs with late guitarist Gary Rossington, which they aim to record and put out in the future. Another exciting release to look out for is Bill Nelson’s Orchestra Futura’s upcoming album titled ‘Live at Nelsonica & Clothworkers Hall’ to be released through Ethersounds Recordings on February 13. Additionally, Petra is set to drop their newest album ‘Hope’ via GirderMusic. This album marks their first collection of fresh songs in over two decades, with a digital release scheduled for January 5, followed by the CD release on January 12, and a vinyl edition anticipated in March.
Recently, Brian May unveiled a work in progress of an unreleased Queen track titled ‘Not For Sale (Polar Bear)’ during a special feature on Planet Rock. This song predates the formation of Queen and was co-written by May and vocalist/bassist Tim Staffell for their band Smile. Fans can expect this unearthed gem to be part of the forthcoming ‘Queen II’ reissue set to come out later this year.
Meanwhile, Demon is hard at work in the studio, crafting brand new music at their Penkull-based recording studio. Manchester City Council has allocated a £245,000 discretionary fund created specifically for grassroot music venues to be administered by the Music Venue Trust. This fund aims to provide targeted financial aid to various music venues across the city early this year.
In the realm of live performances, OMD has announced a UK tour scheduled for August, and Van Morrison is gearing up for shows on April 28 and 29 at the Bath Forum. As for international tours, the Black Crowes are all set to kick off tours in the US and Europe soon.
