Korean rock band documentary “The Rose” to be released in theaters worldwide
CJ 4DPlex is preparing for a worldwide release of the documentary titled “The Rose: Come Back to Me” on Feb. 14, which showcases the journey of the Korean rock band, The Rose. The group, consisting of members Kim “Sammy” WooSung, Park “Leo” Dojoon, Lee “Dylan” Hajoon, and Lee “Jeff” Taegyeom, rose to fame from the streets of Seoul’s Hongdae district to performing at renowned music festivals like Coachella.
The film will debut on Valentine’s Day in the U.S., Mexico, South Korea, and Germany, with plans to expand to other territories subsequently. “We are incredibly proud to bring the inspiring journey of The Rose to the big screen – a powerful narrative that takes them from the streets of Hongdae to the stages of Coachella,” remarked Jun Bang, CEO of CJ 4DPlex. Directed by Eugene Yi, best known for “Free Chol Soo Lee,” the documentary premiered at the Tribeca Festival in June 2025, where it garnered an Audience Prize and completely sold out all screenings, necessitating an additional showing. The international premiere at the Busan International Film Festival also saw sold-out screenings, further solidifying the band’s global appeal and success.
