Shoreline releases new album “Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After?” and debuts two singles
Shoreline, the eminent emo punk group from Münster, has revealed the forthcoming release of their latest album, “Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After?”, scheduled to debut on March 13, 2026, via Pure Noise Records. To tantalize their fans, the band has unveiled not one but two fresh singles: “Sweet Spot” and “Out Of Touch.”
The music video for “Sweet Spot” is accessible below, while “Out Of Touch” is obtainable on various streaming platforms. Discussing the inspiration behind “Sweet Spot,” vocalist Hansol Seung delineates that the song delves into the tale of two individuals gradually drifting apart from each other inadvertently. It encapsulates the frustration of misunderstanding one another in an energetic yet melodious pop-punk composition.
The upcoming album promises to be a riveting experience. It unfolds as a concept album posing a question that most of us have likely pondered during the wee hours of the night: when one hits rock bottom, does one realize it’s the pivotal moment, or must things improve before one can retrospectively identify it? The band has encapsulated this existential anguish in a fusion of their emo and hardcore roots, infusing a substantial dosage of alternative rock. Enthusiasts of bands like Arm’s Length or Koyo will undoubtedly find their new endeavor appealing.
Following their prior work, “To Figure Out,” which saw the band confronting weighty subjects such as the climate crisis and racism, Seung, who has openly discussed his upbringing as an Asian-German, persists in exploring themes of self-acceptance and identity through this latest release.
