TX2 releases latest single “Murder Scene” featuring Magnolia Park
TX2 has recently released Murder Scene, the newest single from his upcoming debut album End Of Us, set to be out on February 13 through Hopeless Records. This track, featuring Magnolia Park, signifies a significant moment for two musicians surfacing from the current trend of emotionally charged alternative rock, both existing at the crossroads of emo, pop punk, and contemporary alternative culture.
For TX2, also known as Timothy Evan Thomas, Murder Scene holds a more profound meaning beyond just being another standalone release. It serves as a crucial chapter in the overall narrative of End Of Us, an album crafted as a conceptual piece delving into broken relationships, mental health dilemmas, and the inner conflicts that come with seclusion. The collaboration with Magnolia Park carries weight due to the shared history between the artists and the reciprocal nature of their creative partnership.
Murder Scene uses gothic horror elements to depict its emotional core. Set in a haunted motel teeming with ghosts, shadows, and lingering unease, the song conveys themes of betrayal and abandonment within a heightened psychological setting. Instead of relying on shock value, the imagery in the song acts as a metaphor for paranoia, self-doubt, and the sensation of being deserted at rock bottom. This results in a track that strikes a balance between theatrics and vulnerability, broadening the emotional spectrum that TX2 has been cultivating across recent releases.
Continuing the narrative introduced by The End Of Us (Feat Black Veil Brides), a substantial six-minute centerpiece released in December alongside the album reveal, Murder Scene introduces a new character into the final act of the album, enriching the storyline without veering away from it.
TX2’s journey has been marked by continual growth and transformation. Starting as a solo venture in 2018, Thomas initially dabbled with rapid-fire rap styles before being drawn to the pop punk and emo influences that molded his formative music tastes, such as Green Day, My Chemical Romance, and Ice Nine Kills. His presence on social media played a pivotal role in expanding his audience, with early tracks gaining traction on TikTok and attracting a devoted following intrigued by his candid approach to mental health themes.
A significant turning point came in 2023 when TX2 signed with Hopeless Records, an alternative music label known for prioritizing authenticity and artist-driven narratives. In 2024, the solo project evolved into a full band with guitarist Cameron “Cam” Rostami and bassist Courtney “Corky” Howard joining, bringing a new layer of depth and energy to the live performances.
During the same period, the Cruel World EP was released, featuring collaborations with Ice Nine Kills and From First To Last, solidifying TX2’s position within the contemporary alternative realm. Toward the end of 2025, while supporting Ice Nine Kills on a UK and European arena tour, TX2 unexpectedly dropped an animated video for The Rain, inspired by PS2 era survival horror games and crafted to bridge the visual narratives of FEED and The End Of Us.
Beyond his recorded music, TX2 has fostered a highly engaged fanbase through extensive touring and direct engagement. With over one million monthly Spotify listeners and a sizeable TikTok following, his audience is both passionate and deeply invested. Central to this connection is the X Movement, a Discord-based mental health community originated by Thomas to offer a supportive environment for fans navigating similar challenges.
Looking forward to 2026, this year appears to be a defining one for TX2. End Of Us will feature collaborations with Black Veil Brides, Magnolia Park, DeathbyRomy, Ekoh, and Ice Nine Kills’ Spencer Charnas, highlighting TX2’s standing among a new cohort of alternative artists willing to blur genre boundaries while staying true to emotional sincerity.
