ARANDA’s ‘You Don’t Wanna Know’ Reaches Top of Rock Charts
nizing, all those things. We had some really great success in the mid-2000s into the early 2010s, and then some losses came into play. We lost our grandmother in 2015 and that was the biggest catalyst for me… and for us as a family because she was such a huge mentor and supporter of us. Then Joe Grah, who was the lead singer for JIBE, was one of my close friends. I wrote a song with him that’s going to be coming out next year. He passed away.
As far as our personal challenges, Gabe and I have three more sisters who rely on us. We all grew up together, Rosa, Sarita, and Ana, and for every “almost there” moment the band had, we shared those with all of them. So we want to be successful for our family. We want a legacy. Our daughters, Mariah a junior in high school this year, and LoLo in kindergarten this year, will be married one day, and we want to have a legacy that means something to them … something to look up to.

The new record, You Don’t Wanna Know, is definitely our sound and we’re very proud of the song. This will be our first release in 5 years. Since our last release we’ve lost our manager Greg Janese and our booking agent Flip Cooper, who coincidentally were the original partners in our present label. We keep forging ahead though! We’re not afraid to blaze a path. We put it out everywhere that will listen because it’s all about the music for us. There’s no short game for Aranda, only long term!
Aranda is on tour now with label mates Flickerstick. They start off the new year in Texas for Sound Check and then boom! The dates are rolling in now. You can pre-download their record and get your tickets to the shows at their website.
