The utilization of Ulsan Museum’s virtual UAM (urban air transportation) experience facility known as “Ulsan Rising Port” has exceeded 10,000 users within a seven-month period. This innovative facility offers a unique experience allowing users to virtually explore Ulsan attractions like Taehwa River National Garden, Bangucheon Rock Carvings, and Daewangam Park. Operating since May of the previous year, Ulsan Rising Port has seen an average monthly usage of 1,400 individuals.

The remarkable success of Ulsan Rising Port was further recognized when it received the main award in trademark and communication design at the renowned “Red Dot Design Awards” in Germany, a prestigious global design accolade. As a commemoration of this achievement, the museum has installed a special signboard marking the receipt of the main award certificate and associated yearbook materials.

Looking ahead, the Ulsan Museum is contemplating the creation of new video content to enhance the user experience at Ulsan Rising Port. Plans are underway to expand the existing virtual content to include interactive experiences linked to local history and culture, particularly focusing on sites like Taehwa River National Garden and Bangucheon Petroglyph.

Operating hours for Ulsan Rising Port are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and holidays, with Mondays being the regular closure day. Admission fees are set at 10,000 won for adults and 5,000 won for children and adolescents. Additionally, Ulsan citizens, senior citizens aged 65 or older, as well as residents of Pohang and Gyeongju, are eligible for a 50% discount on the entrance fee.

The Ulsan Museum’s virtual UAM experience facility has not only attracted a significant number of users but has also received international recognition for its innovative design and content. With plans for further expansion and the introduction of new experiential content, Ulsan Rising Port continues to be a popular and engaging attraction for both local residents and visitors alike.
