These New South Whales have recently unveiled plans for a series of headline shows across Australia from March to May, coinciding with the release of their latest album, GODSPEED.

The fourth studio album, GODSPEED, made an impressive debut by landing at #4 on the ARIA Australian Album Charts and #9 on the ARIA Vinyl Charts. The album has gained recognition both locally and internationally, receiving coverage from media outlets like triple j, Rolling Stone ANZ, Kerrang!, CLASH, and The Line of Best Fit. The record showcases a more focused and confrontational side of the band, moving away from their previous chaotic and excessive style to a more streamlined approach driven by instinct and purpose. Vocalist Jamie Timony sets the tone early in the album with the opening declaration “The choice is yours/Godspeed,” encapsulating the essence of the album as a challenge and a statement.

Produced by Ben Greenberg (known for his work with Depeche Mode, Drab Majesty, Show Me The Body), GODSPEED represents a departure from the band’s previous sound, embracing a more intentional and minimalist approach. These New South Whales have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with on the live music scene, and this upcoming tour is a testament to their commitment to delivering powerful performances. Starting on March 19 at Solbar in Maroochydore, the band will embark on a tour encompassing 17 dates across regional and capital cities in Australia.

GODSPEED arrives at a time marked by uncertainty and unrest, and the album’s message reflects this current climate. Rather than offering simplistic solutions, the album focuses on immediacy and individual empowerment. For These New South Whales, the tour is not just a victory lap but a chance to test the songs in the crucible of live performance, where they can resonate with audiences night after night.

Tickets for the GODSPEED tour are now available for pre-sale through platforms like Discord, Patreon, and Bandsintown, with general ticket sales starting on Tuesday, January 20 at 11:00 AM AEDT on tnsw.co/tour.
