Linkin Park’s iconic track, “Somewhere I Belong,” has made its debut on the Billboard Global 200 chart after 23 years, entering at No. 193. This track, which served as the lead single from the band’s second album, Meteora, was originally released back in the spring of 2003.

This recent appearance on the chart marks the 18th entry for Linkin Park on the Billboard Global 200, a prestigious ranking that was established over five years ago to monitor songs based on global sales and streaming figures. While “Somewhere I Belong” may have secured the lowest peak position for any Linkin Park track on this chart, it is still a significant milestone for the band. Surpassing the previous record held by “One Step Closer” from their debut album Hybrid Theory at No. 184, the band continues to make waves in the music industry.

Aside from “Somewhere I Belong,” two other Linkin Park classics, “In the End” and “Numb,” also saw a surge in their rankings this week on the Billboard Global 200. “In the End” climbed to No. 78, while “Numb” jumped to No. 124. Additionally, both of these tracks also feature on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, further cementing Linkin Park’s global influence in the music scene.

This rekindled success is not limited to the global charts, as “Somewhere I Belong” has also reached a new peak on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart in the U.S., securing the No. 8 spot after 26 weeks on the list. Meanwhile, “In the End” maintains its position at No. 2, and “Numb” made a notable jump from No. 8 to No. 7.

Linkin Park, known for their groundbreaking nu-metal sound, initially gained international recognition with the success of their debut album, Hybrid Theory. Tracks like “One Step Closer,” “Crawling,” and “In the End” propelled them to stardom in the early 2000s, making them a household name in the rock music scene.

Tragically, the band faced a devastating loss in 2017 with the passing of their original lead vocalist, Chester Bennington, who died by suicide at the age of 41. Despite this tragedy, the band regrouped in 2024 with a new vocalist, Emily Armstrong, previously of Dead Sara, and a new drummer, Colin Brittain, joining original members Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, and Dave “Phoenix” Farrell.

Recently embarking on their From Zero World Tour in November 2025, Linkin Park is set to perform in Bengaluru, India, on January 23 and headline Lollapalooza in Mumbai on January 25. Fans can find tour dates and ticket information on the band’s official website, showcasing their enduring popularity and unwavering musical legacy.
