SEVENTH STATION, an avant-garde progressive metal group, has unveiled a new music video for their rendition of Alfred Schnittke’s “Faust Cantata.” The video is a captivating visual experience, blending elements of classical dissonance, dark imagery, and a feeling of spiritual decline. It draws inspiration from horror themes and the underground metal scene, infusing them with a modern progressive twist. Featured on their recent EP, “On Shoulders Of Giants,” the video showcases the band’s bold and uncompromising style.

Lead vocalist Vidi Dolev shares insights on the creative process behind the video, stating, “This one had been in the works for a while. We tried to think what Schintke, the composer we all love, would do if he had a camera and an underground pool from the Ottoman Empire era; We hope he would approve. This is our most ‘metal’ tribute to a non-metal artist. We hope you’ll like it!” The multinational and multi-faith band, with members from Turkey, Israel, and Slovenia, delivers the song in German and filmed the video in Slovenia and Israel.

The band, consisting of talent from various countries such as Slovenia, Turkey, Israel, and Ukraine, is gearing up for a series of live performances in Europe at the end of January. These upcoming shows include appearances in Slovenia and Germany, culminating in a performance at Berlin Prog Nights, a prominent progressive music festival in Berlin.

SEVENTH STATION’s unique sound is a result of the diverse backgrounds of its members coming together to create music that transcends traditional boundaries. Their latest EP, “On Shoulders Of Giants,” showcases their unconventional approach to music, blending elements of classical composers with contemporary metal influences. The band reinterprets the works of nonconformist artists, infusing them with a modern metal aesthetic and a spirit of artistic resistance against disposable culture.

Critics have praised SEVENTH STATION for their audacious and visionary approach to music. One reviewer commended the band’s inventive and unconventional style, likening them to adventurous explorers in the music industry. Another review described the EP as a progressive record that seamlessly incorporates elements of metal, jazz, and cinematic themes, offering a refreshing and immersive listening experience.

As SEVENTH STATION continues to push the boundaries of progressive metal music, fans can look forward to more exciting releases and performances from this international powerhouse. Stay tuned for updates on the band’s activities and upcoming projects throughout the year.
