The Black Keys have unveiled details about their forthcoming Peaches ‘N Kream World Tour, which is scheduled to begin on April 24th and will include performances in various cities like New York, Chicago, Nashville, London, Paris, and Milan. The tour will feature different supporting acts, all of whom are signed to Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound record label, with lineup variations for each city. Artist pre-sale commences on February 12, and general ticket sales will start on February 13.

The announcement follows the recent release of The Black Keys’ new single titled “You Got To Lose” from their upcoming album Peaches!, slated to hit music stores on May 1 under the Easy Eye Sound/Warner Records label. The Grammy-winning duo is hitting the road again after their highly successful No Rain, No Flowers tour last year, where they managed to sell over 250,000 tickets across North America and Europe, playing to packed houses at notable venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, Zitadelle Spandau in Berlin, and London’s Alexandra Palace Park.

Citi is the official card of the PEACHES ‘N KREAM WORLD TOUR, granting Citi cardholders exclusive presale access starting on February 11. The band’s upcoming fourteenth studio album, Peaches!, is a visceral and raw 10-song collection described by frontman Dan Auerbach as their “most natural record” since their debut album, The Big Come Up, released in 2002.

The genesis of this project can be traced back to a personal tragedy that struck Auerbach when his father was battling esophageal cancer. Patrick Carney, Auerbach’s longtime friend and Black Keys bandmate, immediately sensed that the studio was where they needed to be during those trying times. The outcome was a cathartic experience that led to the creation of the new album. “We weren’t making a record. We were just jamming, like this is for us,” explained Auerbach, highlighting the organic process that birthed Peaches!.

Recorded in a raw and live setting with minimal overdubs, the album marks the band’s return to a more DIY approach akin to their early work. According to Carney, mixing the album was no easy feat, but they were able to achieve the desired sound. The record is a nod to their shared love for vinyl records, which manifests in a blend of influences reflected in the album’s compositions.

Peaches! also features artwork by acclaimed photographer William Eggleston, who previously collaborated with the band on their 2021 album, Delta Kream. The album’s visual aesthetic is complemented by Michael Carney’s design work, contributing to a holistic artistic experience. Peaches! will be available in various formats, including vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital platforms.

The Black Keys are poised to embark on an exciting musical journey with their Peaches ‘N Kream World Tour, promising fans an unforgettable live experience filled with their trademark energy and passion for rock music.
