Corvin releases new gothic rock single “Dead End Pyre”

Italian gothic band Corvin has recently released their debut single and music video titled “Dead End Pyre,” merging members from various bands like Me and That Man, Shores of Null, Guineapig, and Otus to form a new group rooted in traditional gothic rock. This single marks the band’s initial foray into the digital music scene, with plans for an extended Bandcamp edition and a CD release slated for March 20, 2026.

“Dead End Pyre” showcases the core members of Corvin, including Davide Straccione on vocals, Francesco Argentini and Gino Chiarizia on guitars, Matteo Bassoli on bass, and Leopoldo Russo Ceccotti on drums. The track, written by guitarist Francesco Argentini and the band, with lyrics by Davide Straccione, was recorded at Hombrelobo Studio in Rome for drum and vocal sessions under the supervision of engineer Valerio Fisik. Guitars and bass were tracked by the band before being mixed and mastered at Studio 73 in Ravenna by Riccardo Pasini.

The band also released a music video to accompany the single, offering fans a visual interpretation of their gothic rock sound inspired by bands like The Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, Type O Negative, and The 69 Eyes. With the B-side “Track II,” available for download on Bandcamp, fans can immerse themselves in Corvin’s unique blend of influences and style.

Corvin, comprised of seasoned musicians with backgrounds in the dark metal and gothic rock genres, maintains a stable lineup of Davide Straccione on vocals, Francesco Argentini and Gino Chiarizia on guitars, Matteo Bassoli on bass, and Leopoldo Russo Ceccotti on drums.
