Danish progressive metal group Only Human has recently released a compelling new single titled “Breach,” which marks their second single ahead of their forthcoming debut album. For those who enjoy the atmospheric sound of TesseracT or the technical brilliance of Periphery, “Breach” is a must-listen. The album is available for pre-order/saving.

The track delves into dark, atmospheric themes, reflecting the band’s intense interest in a tech-heavy, dystopian future. Vocalist Patrick Grønbæch Christensen, who not only lends his vocals to the song but also handles production and mixing, describes “Breach” as a profound commentary on how cynicism and technocracy have pervaded our lives. It’s a weighty, contemplative piece with a monumental sound.

Only Human’s debut album, titled “Planned Obsolescence,” is scheduled for release on March 27, 2026, via Season of Mist. Following their earlier release, “Automata,” earlier this year, the band has been steadily gaining attention. Reviewers have noted the band’s ability to seamlessly blend melodic vocals with intricate, dynamic rhythms.

In addition to their studio work, the band has secured notable festival slots for the upcoming summer, including at Sweden Rock and Naestved Metalfest. This is an impressive achievement for a band that only solidified their full lineup in 2024.
