Exodus unveiled the title track from their upcoming album, ‘Goliath,’ on February 18. The highly anticipated record is set to be released on March 20 by Napalm Records and marks the return of vocalist Rob Dukes.

Describing the new song, the band expressed that “‘Goliath’ may quite possibly be the heaviest thing we have ever done, and certainly the slowest song in our catalog, as close to doom metal as Exodus we get.” The track also features the talented violinist Katie Jacoby, who contributed 18 tracks of strings to a captivating middle harmony section, transforming the song from pure horror to a work of art.

In contrast to their usual thrash style, ‘Goliath’ showcases a slower tempo, allowing guitarists Gary Holt and Lee Altus to craft intricate riffs while drummer Tom Hunting delivers powerful beats. The music video, directed by Tony Aguilera and Jim Louvau, captures the band performing amidst computer-generated chaos and destruction.

The album features four songs penned by Altus, with lyrics contributed by Holt, Dukes, Altus, and Hunting. Dukes, who rejoined the group in January 2025 after departing in 2014, is known for his work on four studio albums released between 2005 and 2010, taking over from Steve “Zetro” Souza who fronted the band from 2014 to 2025.

The mixing and mastering of the album were handled by producer Mark Lewis, known for his work with bands like Whitechapel, Nile, and Undeath. Exodus, originating from the San Francisco Bay Area in 1979, made their mark in the thrash metal scene with their influential debut album, ‘Bonded By Blood,’ released in 1985, inspiring bands like Testament and Death Angel.

Currently, Exodus is on tour in Canada with Megadeth and Anthrax until March 6, followed by a European tour with Kreator, Carcass, and Nails from March 20 to April 25. The band will then embark on a North American tour with Sepultura from April 29 to May 29, culminating at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Fans can find information on tour dates and purchase tickets on the band’s official website.
