Glixen releases new song “Unwind” – Listen
In the previous year, we highlighted Glixen from Phoenix as a Band To Watch and featured Quiet Pleasures on our compilation of the best shoegaze albums of 2025. Now, the band has returned with a dreamy new track called “Unwind.” Band leader Aislinn Ritchie describes the song as capturing the sense of relief when someone returns after being absent. She expresses that it reflects the natural inclination to yearn for the back and forth of emotions – akin to being addicted to a substance. The difficulty in resisting this pull often leads to a state of deliberate ignorance. “Unwind” was recorded in Los Angeles with Sonny Diperri as the producer, marking the first time the band has incorporated various instrumental elements, providing a glimpse into their musical growth.
