Austin City Limits (ACL) has released a roster of artists who will be gracing Season 52 with their talent, promising an exciting lineup set to captivate viewers. Among the notable performers is Miguel, a Grammy Award-winner known for pushing the boundaries of R&B. His return to the ACL stage in support of his latest album, CAOS, is set for March 19. Joining the ranks of seasoned performers is Ryan Bingham, an artist recognized for his contribution to the film industry with an Oscar and Grammy under his belt. Scheduled to perform on April 21, Bingham will be previewing tracks from his upcoming album, They Call Us The Lucky Ones, with The Texas Gentlemen. April 27 will see The Red Clay Strays, winners of the CMA Awards for Vocals Group of the Year, take the stage to perform tracks from their album, Made by These Moments. Colombian superstar Carlos Vives will wrap up the initial tapings on May 5 with his big band sound and a medley of hits.

Executive Producer of ACL, Terry Lickona, shared his excitement for Season 52, emphasizing the extension of the season with additional episodes and a novel approach where each artist is granted a full hour for their performance. This move underlines ACL’s commitment to showcasing live music in its purest form, distinguishing itself from other platforms that are dwindling in availability. The disappearance of live music from mainstream television amplifies the significance of ACL in providing a unique platform for artists to reach audiences and for music enthusiasts to revel in full-set performances. In an era where late-night shows are dwindling, ACL remains a coveted space for creators to present their work authentically and for spectators to immerse themselves in the live music experience.

Adding to the appeal of Season 52 is an immersive mural installation at the series’ studio, ACL Live at the Moody Theater. The installation serves as a visual journey through nearly two decades of iconic ACL taping posters, showcasing the diverse artists and moments that have played a pivotal role in the series’ longstanding legacy.

Miguel’s impact on the music industry transcends time and genres, solidifying his position as a trendsetter in modern R&B. His latest album, CAOS, signifies a return to his musical roots, delving into themes of chaos and searching for meaning amidst tumultuous global events. Collaborating with renowned producers like Dave Sitek and Jeff Bhasker, Miguel curates a collection of songs that mirror his emotional journey, addressing personal and societal challenges candidly.

Ryan Bingham’s music is a fusion of folk, blues, country, and rock, reflecting his vivid storytelling ability and life experiences. His latest project, They Call Us The Lucky Ones, amplifies his signature sound, accompanied by The Texas Gentlemen. The album portrays Bingham’s affinity for resilience and authenticity, as expressed in tracks such as “Ballad of The Texas Gentlemen.” Bingham’s extensive career underscores his commitment to crafting songs that resonate with audiences, earning him accolades and respect from the industry.

As Austin City Limits gears up for its landmark Season 52, the anticipation for these exceptional artists’ performances continues to grow. With a renewed focus on showcasing live music in its purest form, ACL remains a beacon in an ever-evolving music landscape.
