Terry White’s latest album, “You Won’t Have A Name,” showcases his talent as a folkie and Americana artist. Drawing inspiration from Woody Guthrie’s “Los Deportes (Plane Wreck at Los Gatos),” White’s songs like “Laughing Leads To Crying,” “Out Of Reach,” and “Dawn On the Village Square” strike a chord with their compelling storytelling. White’s album is a standout, showcasing his relevance, skill, and originality in each track.
Nick Piunti’s “Solo…ish” may seem solo in title, but it’s a collaborative effort featuring various guest artists. Beginning as demos recorded on his phone, the album evolved with the help of producer Andy Reed and other musicians. Piunti’s pure pop sound shines through on tracks like “Big In Madrid,” “Break Even,” and “One Dimensional,” creating a dynamic listening experience from start to finish.
The Sedonas, a rock band based in Knoxville, Tennessee, demonstrate their real talent on their latest album, “Opening Selects.” Recorded over two years, the album captures the band’s live energy on tracks like “You Know (You Ought To Know),” “Mind,” and “Livin’ Fastly.” With a mix of rock and soulful tracks, The Sedonas showcase their muscle and melody with a passionate delivery.
Singer-songwriter Chris Ahlman’s EP, “Santa Barbara Songs,” draws inspiration from his connection to Santa Barbara, California. Featuring seven original tracks, the album reflects Ahlman’s dedication and love for music. From the emotional “The Perfect Fit” to the reflective “Slide Into Eternity,” the songs offer a rich and engaging listening experience, highlighting Ahlman’s commitment to creating great music.
Alan Williams pushes boundaries on his third album, “Floating on the Dreamliner,” blending singer-songwriter, power pop, and prog influences. As a former major label artist and educator, Williams showcases his talents in songwriting, production, and engineering. The album’s diverse tracks like “Before My Eyes,” “Somewhere There’s a Train,” and “Whisper” display Williams’ versatility and artistry, making it a captivating listen from start to finish.
Each of these indie artists brings a unique sound and style to their new releases, making them stand out in the ever-evolving music landscape. Their passion, dedication, and talent shine through in every track, cementing their places as notable artists in the indie music scene.
