Universal is working on a biopic about Bon Jovi

Universal Pictures has announced that they are currently working on a comprehensive biopic centered around the legendary band, Bon Jovi. The screenplay for this project will be crafted by the talented writer Cody Brotter, well-known for his work on The Black List.

Since their inception in 1983, Bon Jovi has solidified their status as rock and roll icons with a career spanning over three decades. Their accolades include induction into prestigious institutions like the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Having sold over 130 million albums globally, embarked on countless tours across 50 countries for more than 35 million fans, and generating over a billion dollars in ticket sales within the last ten years alone, Bon Jovi stands as a beacon of rock music.

Steering this project to fruition are acclaimed producer Kevin J. Walsh and Religion of Sports’ Gotham Chopra, each an expert in their own rights. Jacqueline Garell will be overseeing this grand endeavor as the Studio’s Director of Production Development.

Universal Pictures has a track record of success with musical biopics that delve into the lives of influential artists.
