Mesh releases music video for single “This World” from upcoming album “The Truth Doesn’t Matter”
esh has unveiled the music video for their latest single, “This World,” from their upcoming album, “The Truth Doesn’t Matter,” set to be released on March 27, 2026, through Dependent Records. The band had previously released singles such as “This World,” “Exile,” and “Hey Stranger.”
Richard Silverthorn shared the inspiration behind the track, stating that he found himself in front of a piano, allowing his thoughts to drift towards cinematic film scores and the emotional landscapes they create. This inspired him to write “This World,” which was later enhanced by Mark Hockings adding modular lines to create a dynamic tension within the song. Hockings expressed his admiration for the track, stating that it was a collaborative effort that resulted in one of his favorite songs on the album.
The music video for “This World” was directed and produced by Kieran Gallop of GLK Media and features actor Jack Hewitt. Hewitt, known for his roles in “Upgraded” and “Assassin’s Guild,” brings a compelling visual element to Mesh’s latest single.
In support of their upcoming album, Mesh will be embarking on a European and UK tour in 2026, titled “The Truth Doesn’t Matter.” The tour kicks off in April with shows in Germany and the Czech Republic, including cities like Oberhausen, Berlin, Hamburg, Prague, and more. The band will also be making stops in the UK, Scandinavia, and will culminate with a show in Liberec in November.
Since their formation in 1991, Mesh has been a prominent figure in the British electronic alternative music scene. Initially a trio consisting of vocalist and guitarist Mark Hockings, keyboardist Richard Silverthorn, and Neil Taylor on keyboards, the trio signed with Swedish label Memento Materia in the mid-90s and released their debut EP “Fragile” in 1994.
Over the years, Mesh has delivered a series of albums that have solidified their position in the electronic music landscape. Their second album, “The Point at Which It Falls Apart,” released in 1999, is now celebrated with a 25th-anniversary hardcover artbook edition. Subsequent albums on Dependent Records, such as “We Collide,” “A Perfect Solution,” “Automation Baby,” and “Looking Skyward,” have further established Mesh’s sound and artistry.
Mesh continues to evolve and push boundaries in their music, with live performances enhancing their studio work. The current live lineup includes drummer Sean Suleman and keyboardist Vaughn George, expanding their sound and energy on stage.
