Lead singer of Stryper releases new song ‘Again’ from his upcoming solo album

Michael Sweet dropped his latest track, “Again,” on March 12. Serving as the third single from his upcoming solo album, The Master Plan, set to release on April 3 via Frontiers Music Srl, this new song delves into themes of loss and healing.

Expressing his sentiments on social media, Sweet shared, “We’ve all lost someone. My prayers are that this song will give you comfort as well and help heal the pain.” Departing from his previous solo endeavors, The Master Plan was co-produced by Sweet and Jeff Savage, with contributions from notable artists like TobyMac, Jars of Clay, and Natalie Imbruglia.

Michael Sweet’s legacy spans over four decades as the frontman of Stryper. Since the 1980s, the band has amassed over 10 million album sales, propelled by hits like “Calling on You,” “Honestly,” and “Always There for You” that landed on Billboard’s Top 40 chart. Stryper also made MTV history, with both “Free” and “Honestly” reaching the Top 10 simultaneously during their peak era.

In addition to his work with Stryper, Sweet explored different musical avenues, including the rock project Sweet & Lynch and a stint as the vocalist and guitarist for Boston from 2007 to 2011. Preceding “Again,” two earlier singles, “The Master Plan” and “Lord,” were accompanied by lyric videos teasing the album’s imminent release in April. Frontiers Music Srl, established in Napoli, Italy in 1996, has since partnered with a roster of esteemed artists such as Megadeth, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, Journey, Yes, and Whitesnake.
