Archspire explores ‘Autonomous Music Production’ technology with new music video “The Vessel”
round the corner with its release scheduled for next Friday, April 10th, and Canadian tech metallers Archspire are gearing up for their new album with a recently premiered music video for their song “The Vessel.” The band managed to fund their upcoming album “Too Fast To Die” through Kickstarter and kept the video production mostly in-house. The video was directed by guitarist Dean Lamb, with co-writing credits to frontman Oliver Rae Aleron and assistant director Sav Bagshaw.
In an interesting twist, the band incorporated a nod to their album’s producer Dave Otero in the video, presenting Oterobotics and the “Phrygian Dominator,” a fully autonomous music production system meant to streamline the creative process by handling composition, arrangement, and final mix without the need for human interference. The Phrygian Dominator aims to remove technical and creative burdens, offering a seamless operation once assembled and activated. While current programming lacks “Humanity Sensitivity,” this feature is slated for a future cloud update through the Oterobotics+ subscription service.
Archspire’s forthcoming album is set to drop on April 10th, followed by the ‘Long Roads Big Loads Tour,’ where the band will headline with support from Undeath, Crown Magnetar, and Mutilation Barbecue. The tour will kick off on April 24th in Calgary, AB, and continue through various cities in Canada and the US, including stops in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
With a busy tour schedule ahead and a highly anticipated album release on the horizon, Archspire continues to push the boundaries of technical metal while exploring innovative music production technologies, reflecting their commitment to evolving their sound and engaging their audience. As fans eagerly await the arrival of “Too Fast To Die” and the start of the ‘Long Roads Big Loads Tour,’ Archspire’s dynamic approach to music creation and performance promises an exciting chapter in their musical journey.
