Foreigner, the iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band, is set to release their single Feels Like The First Time on April 17th as a prelude to their upcoming album, In The Eye of The Storm. This album serves as the official soundtrack to the band’s 50th-anniversary concert film, which was filmed at Ellis Island and Brooklyn’s DUMBO House. The release of the single coincides with the opening night of their much-anticipated musical, Feels Like The First Time – The Foreigner Musical, at the Little Theater on Long Island University’s Post campus.

In The Eye of The Storm is scheduled to be released on July 17th through Sun Records/Virgin Records, marking the start of a year-long celebration in honor of Foreigner’s five decades of music. Alongside the release of the single, a music video for Feels Like The First Time will also debut, featuring exclusive footage from the upcoming film. The new recording of the single showcases the vocal talents of three generations of Foreigner frontmen: Lou Gramm, Kelly Hansen, and Luis Maldonado, highlighting the band’s evolution over the last fifty years.

The magical Ellis Island concert was almost canceled due to severe weather, with torrential rain and lightning threatening to halt the production. Despite the challenging conditions, the band persevered and delivered an electrifying performance, capturing a monumental moment in their storied career. This historic performance serves as the centerpiece of the upcoming feature film produced by Vertigo Live Productions, set to be released in theaters worldwide in Summer 2026.

Foreigner has sold over 80 million albums worldwide and is known for classic hits like Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded, Urgent, Waiting For A Girl Like You, and I Want To Know What Love Is. Feels Like The First Time, one of the band’s earliest hits, returns in a powerful new live recording, showcasing the enduring appeal of Foreigner’s music.

In addition to the single release, Foreigner is launching special limited-edition anniversary merchandise collections to commemorate fifty years of their iconic music. Fans can find more information about the release, merchandise, and upcoming film on the official Vertigo Live website and merchandise store.
