Dead Pony, the electrifying rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, is embarking on a new chapter in their musical journey with the announcement of their upcoming EP, “Eat My Dust!”. Set to be released on 15th May 2026 via ADA, this EP marks a significant moment for the band known for their high-energy sound and genre-blending style.

Fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Anna Shields and rounded out by Blair Crichton on guitar, Liam Adams on bass, and Euan Lyons on drums, Dead Pony seamlessly fuse elements of alt-rock, punk, and nu-metal to create a raw and infectious sound. This EP will serve as their first body of work since the release of their debut album, “Ignore This,” back in 2024. The album received critical acclaim and even earned them nominations for the Scottish Album Of The Year, solidifying their place in the independent music scene.

Accompanying the EP announcement is the release of their second single, ‘Freak Like Me.’ Anna Shields describes the track as a “love letter to the outsiders in society – the ones who never quite fit the mould and stopped trying to.” The inspiration for the song stemmed from the energy of The Priory bar in Glasgow, a place where young musicians and misfits gathered to be unapologetically themselves. Through this track, Dead Pony celebrates the beauty of embracing one’s true self and finding acceptance in a chaotic world.

Looking ahead to the EP, both Anna Shields and producer/guitarist Blair Crichton express their excitement for this new era of Dead Pony. They draw inspiration from early 2000s influences but emphasize that their music is not about dwelling in the past; instead, it’s about reshaping nostalgia into something fresh and authentic. The EP promises to be a bold statement from the band, pushing boundaries in their songwriting, studio experimentation, and overall evolution as artists.

“Eat My Dust!” features tracks such as ‘What If?’, ‘BOOM!’, ‘Fury’, and ‘Lost Inside Of Me,’ all of which contribute to defining this moment for the band. This EP encapsulates a louder, more honest, and fearless version of Dead Pony, showcasing their growth and commitment to their unique identity.

In support of the EP, Dead Pony will be hitting the road in May for a series of headline shows before making appearances at notable festivals like Slam Dunk and All Points East later in the summer. This EP marks a turning point for Dead Pony, who are embracing their creativity and individuality to deliver a compelling musical experience for their fans.
